World Premiere LITTLE BIRDS

Alexander Albrecht is starring in the Warp Production, LITTLE BIRDS, a six-part series directed by Stacie Passon (House of Cards, Transparents) which will have its world premiere on SKY Atlantic and TV Now UK on the 4th of August.

Alexander as Frederic is portraying a French diplomat that is madly in love with a Moroccan whore, called Cherifa (Yumna Marwan), and is in danger of betraying his country.

Alexander Puschkin – THE SHOT

The Shot – A Mono-Spectacle

Director Lioudmila Meier-Babkina (Theater für klassische Bühnenkunst Zürich) and Alexander Albrecht turn to Alexander Pushkin’s The Shot. As they did in 2016 with Dostoevsky’s White Nights, they compared the original Russian text with the German translation and created their own stage adaptation.

In this mono-spectacle, Alexander Albrecht performs under the direction of Lioudmila Meier-Babkina. The story follows a duel between two officers, interrupted and continued years later in an unexpected way.

The central question: how can balance between honesty, egoism, freedom, and responsibility be restored? Pushkin explores this through his protagonist Sylvio, for whom the spiritual life outweighs the physical.

Like a psychological thriller, the play draws the audience into the suspenseful unfolding of the drama.
Duration: approx. 60 minutes

Netflix THE QUEENS GAMBIT

Great news – Alexander Albrecht was cast in the new Netflix production THE QUEENS GAMBIT for the role of Manfredi, a professional chess player. We are very happy about his appearance in episode 4. Author and director Scott Frank, who has twice been nominated for an Oscar, discovered Alexander in an online casting.

Drama Series Sky’s Original LITTLE BIRDS

Alexander Albrecht impressed director Stacie Passon with a self-taped audition. They offered him immediately a more significant character for this new 1950′s period drama series based on Anais Nin’s Little Birds. We are very excited for Alexander to be part of such a “juicy” production and talent.

The six 60-minute episodes will start filming end of March in Spain and Manchester.

Written by “The Girl Who Fell to Earth” author Sophia Al-Maria and directed by “Billions” and “House of Cards” director Stacie Passon, LITTLE BIRDS is produced by “The Last Panthers” and “This Is England” producer Warp Films.

Alexander Albrecht got cast the german televison movie MINUSGRADE for ZDF under the artistic direction of Sabine Bernardi.

SB is well known for her Debut Film ROMEOS that was presented worldwide on festivals including at Berlinale in the section Panorama. Also for her TV Series CLUB DER ROTEN BÄNDER she won several awards.
